Snap-In Dentures

Although the total loss of teeth has never been the goal of our office, we find ourselves treating many new patients with completely edentulous (toothless) mouths. After making dentures the conventional way for many years, I felt there must be a better way of meeting the needs of our denture patients. In search for the ultimate denture, I discovered a procedure called the “Pound Denture Technique, ” named after its creator, Dr. Earl Pound. Many years ago I traveled to Columbia, South Carolina for a two week, hands on training session in the office of Dr. Walter Turbyfill (a personal friend of the late Dr. Pound). As a result of this training, I am now able to provide a denture service to my patients which is very gratifying professionally, and is greatly appreciated by those I have served.

Although I am a dentist committed to providing optimum oral health care, including teeth loss prevention, I feel implants provide edentulous individuals the closest feeling to natural teeth; and the Pound Denture Technique is the best, full denture technique I have ever discovered.

Periodontal disease, injury and tooth decay can all cause a loss of your natural teeth. However, we can bring back the smile on your face with dentures to restore your missing teeth. With improved technology and updated materials, dentists can now make them appear more natural and more comfortable for the patient.

Types of Dentures

There are two types of dentures: complete and partial.

  • Complete dentures cover the patient’s entire jaw.
  • Partial dentures, with their metal framework, replace multiple missing teeth.

To know which type is best for you, be sure to ask.
